Buffalo Check Floors
Is anyone else as obsessed with buffalo check as we are? We are considering installing it in our Alhambra Valley Laundry Room. The material itself can be significantly cheaper than other mosaic tiles and with a little more effort in layout it can give you the best bang for your buck.
There are a few ways to install standard 4x4 tiles to give a check or plaid look.
- Use 3 light medium and dark gray or gray/black colorways with a 4 color as white.
2. Use same color combination as option 1, but quadruple the white tiles to create a plaid look.
We found a few 4x4 matte tile options at Home Depot 1, 2, 3. You can always visit Daltile website or showrooms for additional color options. Lowes had a few options in the American Olean Line as well: 1, 2, 3. You can also check out American Olean online for additional matte color options.
We found a few plaid options that reduce the amount of layout labor as well.
