Laundry Room Design

Laundry rooms don't have to be boring. This is a space that gets used pretty frequently. Having a well designed space can increase your daily chore efficiency. For this remodel the home owner wanted this space to serve as laundry/mudroom/craftroom. We opened up the wall between the kitchen and laundry room to allow the mother of two to be able to see her kiddos play in the craftroom or their back yard while she was in the kitchen.

The house was completely gutted and put back together. This gave us a blank slate for the laundry/mudroom space. The clients wanted the space to be durable, so we proposed hardi-lap siding as a wall treatment. This gave the farmhouse look that they loved and allowed the walls to take a little more abuse from children and dogs. The kitchen cabinetry and travertine tile flows into the laundry room space to create a uniform design throughout the two spaces.
